  1. Looking forward to all that merchandise all in one place.. Just a reminder that the HPQG huge quilt show is next spring in April…this is not taking the place of that show.. Just another reason to visit fabulous St Marys Ont.

  2. Hi quilters! Just letting you know again that QuiltX does not have a mailing list. All of our information is posted on this site and is always up to date. Please let us know if there are details you need to plan your trip and we will be happy to provide answers.

  3. Chantal and Michelle, looking forward to this endeavour you both have taken on with all sorts of wonderful people around you. I applaud your vision and hope it becomes everything you want it to. Looking forward to seeing the show.

  4. Just got home from the event … and what a FABULOUS DAY! A great venue site with excellent food choices. The speakers were all wonderful – Johanna was exceptional – so informative, witty and real! The merchant mall vendors had exceptional merchandice. There was a lot to take in … in too short of a time! Congrats on an extremely successful first QuiltX!!!

  5. I attended your show today. Congrats to all the organizers. It was well organized, the lectures and demos were very informative and the food was excellent. The vendors and quilt display was excellent. Thank you for a great day. I hope it will be an annual affair.

    1. Hi Diane, Thanks for your kind message. We are glad that you had a terrific time at our first show. Yes, there will definitely be a QuiltX next year – the third weekend of September. We’ve already hired our featured pattern designer, so stay tuned!

  6. Attended the show yesterday and enjoyed it very much. Just a thought for next year.
To have a few more finished quilts on display , I would suggest each merchant bring
their winning RowbyRow quilt, with owner’s permission of course. They could also display their quilt from the July shop hop.
My sister, who is not a quilter, said she basically paid $7.00 for the privilege of
coming in to shop. She was expecting more finished quilts and was not interested in the
lectures or demos. I haven,t converted her to the quilting process yet.

    1. Hi Sharon, Thank you for writing to us. We do appreciate all comments and suggestions! While we realize that the concept of our show is unusual, we have a solid long term vision for its future. The two organizers have a combined experience of almost 50 years in the quilting industry, and along with the vendors who supported us in our ambitious inaugural year, we are at the beginning of something new, fresh and destined to expand. Our quilt display is small but unique, and it too will grow. (While Row By Row is a current trend, only 23% of our vendors were involved.) The mandate of our show is to provide leading educational experiences and foster creative opportunities for our attendees – quilters of all levels and people considering taking the plunge! – through our featured designer showcase and companion exhibit of vendor interpreted quilts, lectures/demos, and YES, an extensive shopping experience. Next year’s event is already in the planning stage and it includes workshops – details will be posted to our site as they become available. We hope you and your sister will return in 2016 – you have one year to convert her!

  7. Hi!

I am from Owen Sound and we are use to travelling to get to these special events ….. would appreciate knowing about this in June next year and then our guild can plan on attending (we have about 170 members)…..sounds like it was very

    1. Hi Carol, Thanks for your interest. QuiltX was produced by two people in five months! We did not advertise directly to guilds this year, as summer had arrived by the time we had all the details in place. Next year, we plan to provide guilds and the general quilting public with information by the end of April at the latest. You can check our website for updates, but your guild should receive an email notice in the spring.
